2nd Course of Epanet-Octave is available

The School of Civil and Mining Engineering has organised the course "Analysis of Water Systems Through Epanet Toolkit in GNU Octave". In this second edition of the course, students will learn how to use Epanet Toolkit through the "toolbox/wrapper" Epanet-Octave. This tool, developed at this university, allows to perform extensive simulations of water supply systems from the convenience of vectorized operation of GNU Octave, a free mostly MATLAB compatible software.

Particularly, the students at this course will learn how to use the tool, performing some trainee in specific applications like the evaluation of the effects of leakages or failures in each pipe of a water supply system and/or the hydraulic characterisation of all hydrants in a water supply system. Moreover, an example of Chlorine injection optimization will be shown.

Classes will be held from 9h to 13:30 on the 8th and the 14th of June. The lecturer will be This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
